Transition Units to Adulthood & Employment
Our Transition Departments are focused on bridging the gap between youth and adult independence. The comprehensive curriculum and daily activities are structured around three core strategic pillars:
- Life Organization: Cultivating self-reliance and the practical skills necessary to navigate independent or semi-independent daily living.
- Communication: Enhancing functional social skills, self-expression, interpersonal relationship management, and community interaction.
- Employment: Building vocational readiness, professional soft skills, and stamina required for a successful transition into the labor market.
With a person-centered approach, the beneficiary actively participates in designing their own life plan. This planning is implemented through supported decision-making, ensuring that the beneficiary’s wishes regarding key life choices are recognized and expressed, with the goal of self-actualization and the greatest possible degree of autonomy.
Core Philosophy: Self-Determination & Empowerment
We firmly believe that every individual has the right to shape their own future. To honor this, our structural planning is driven by two cutting-edge methodologies:
- The Person-Centered Approach: The beneficiary is placed at the absolute center of the planning process. They actively participate in designing and shaping their own customized life and training schedule, ensuring that their personal voice is always heard.
- Supported Decision-Making: Instead of others making choices for them, we implement tailored communication frameworks and cognitive tools that allow beneficiaries to fully understand, evaluate, and express their own desires regarding major life choices.
Our Ultimate Goal: To pave a realistic path toward self-actualization, dignity, and the highest possible level of personal autonomy in adult life.
